The only monograph spanning the entire career of Belgian artist Luc Tuymans (b.1958), one of the most influential painters of the last two decades. Tuymans' work fuses the traditions of old master Flemish and Spanish genre painting with a 21st-century sensibility. Many works represent domestic scenes or commonplace objects, while others reference directly political source material. This revised edition has been expanded by 100 pages to include nearly all of the artist's recent paintings, most in full-page format.
