Apenas iniciada pretemporada, Vilanova tuvo que abandonar la plaza de entrenador y el Club fichó al Tata Martino, que en su presentación prometió el retorno al estilo de juego atractivo y ganador de los últimos años.Aunque este impulso se quedó por el camino y las dificultades que rodeaban al Club se acumularon, los jugadores no rebajaron la competitividad y lucharon por los títulos hasta los instantes decisivos.
